I love this sport, although I am not as fond of how it has evolved more recently as I am of the old '70's and '80's performers, like Nadia Comaneci, Karin Janz, and Aurelia Dobre. I did more tumbling than apparatus as a kid, and my daughter is enrolled in 'Tiny Tumblers' once a week. The sport has changed quite a bit from when I was young, with more levels for competition. I am actually hoping she doesn't push to go elite as there are more meets at the Level 10 where talent scouts from the universities attend.
I've never performed gymnastics, but I used to love watching. This used to be one of my favorite parts of the summer Olympics. However, losing the rest of my remaining vision has ruined such things for me.
